pros- I have experience with photoshop
a style magazine can be interpreted in many different ways
I own a good camera for photos
I have experience in making magazine covers due to GCSE
cons- I have to actually write fake articles and come up with cover lines (but I think I can do that anyway)
initial ideas-
Condé Nast owns GQ and Vogue which are both high end fashion and lifestyle magazines so I could try replicate a sleek and sophisticated look. However, he also owns the magazine wired which tends to feature more innovative and quirky front covers so I don't necessarily have to go for the especially clean and finished look.
My main idea is to do something different than Condé Nast has done before. He's already got a high end fashion magazine that features the latest style in Vogue so why not make a style magazine about a more niche fashion that also celebrates Vogue of the past?
So, I've decided I might do a style magazine that focuses on styles of the past- whether it be past fashion trends that have come back (fashion is a cycle after all) or past fashion trends that should be brought into 2025. I also think this could align with consumerist culture because its essentially saying 'we need to bring this back, let's all do this\ let's all buy that'
I feel like it could be a really nice throwback to the past of Condé Nast's brand while also looking to the future and, since Vogue covers over the past few years have started to take a more experimental look on fashion, I don't think its out of the question. Also, I imagine that Condé Nast would be proud of his brand so why not celebrate it?
